Inthira is Mae Sariang’s largest and most well-known restaurant. It serves signature Thai dishes such as Tom Yum Kung & Coconut Green Curry, as well as classic northern Thai dishes, and Thai-Chinese fusion cuisine.
Inthira was founded in 1964 by Inthira Tansuhaj, who had moved to Mae Sariang to start a family and build a restaurant. In the late 1970s, her oldest son, Satja and his wife, Jurairat, took over the family business. Though the restaurant has expanded and can now accomodate up to 300 people, it retains Inthira’s orignal charm and the dishes that she first introduced to Mae Sariang nearly fifty years ago.
